Scientifica 2023

Interactive exhibition: StimuLOOP - personalized rehabilitation of tomorrow.

external pageThe LOOP Zurich is funding the interdisciplinary research consortium StimuLOOP to revolutionize the treatment of Parkinson's disease and stroke. These two neurological diseases significantly affect the quality of life and mobility of older people. StimuLOOP is developing innovative therapeutic approaches based on personalized training using the consolidation of newly learned movement patterns during sleep.

Thanks to the use of biosignals from brain activity or movement patterns, a highly precise treatment can be developed that is tailored to the individual needs of each patient. Visitors to external pageScientifica 2023 will have the unique opportunity to actively try out simulations of these advanced therapeutic methods. The four areas, including precise analysis of gait using artificial intelligence, controlling a robot through brain signals, simulating consolidation during sleep and improving walking through adaptation, offer fascinating insights into the future of rehabilitation.

The numerous visitors of Scientifica 2023 were able to immerse themselves in a world of fascinating research and learn how science, technology and medicine go hand in hand to improve people's health.

We had a lot of fun demonstrating the concept of Neurofeedback within the StimuLOOP stand at Scientifica. At our booth, visitors could actively experience personalized rehabilitation methods, offering hands-on insights into the current rehabilitation research in stroke and Parkinson’s disease.
