ZurichMOVE: Motion sensors that move you!

external pageVisit the Scientifica website (german)

Those who are confronted with paralysis can often regain the ability to move at least partially thanks to therapy. But how actively do patients work toward this outside of rehab? This is where state-of-the-art sensor technology comes into play. This enables patients to return to a self-determined everyday life more quickly.

When the therapy session is over for patients with motor disorders, ZurichMOVE takes over: sensors collect a wide variety of data about activity and movement patterns day and night and transmit it to the ZurichMOVE platform. This provides therapists with information about how the therapy goal is being achieved in everyday life or the extent to which the patient is able to return to everyday life after therapy. Thanks to seamless monitoring, the system also creates the conditions for developing fitness trackers for patients on the basis of targeted clinical questions.

At Scientifica you will get an insight into the sensor technology of ZurichMOVE in daily use - in the clinic, at home or during wheelchair basketball . You can also test the latest version of the motion sensors, either in a wheelchair course or in the PlastiDance game , an interactive movement training. Finally, interested parties can have a short activity report sent to them via e-mail, much like ZurichMOVE provides as part of its clinical trials.
