From 4. - 6. November, the HackaHealth hackathon to build individualized assistive technologies for six specific users with various disabilities took place at the ETH Student Project House.

Six teams went through many prototype iterations to build a foot orthosis, used modern technologies to create a DJ tool, coded until late at night to develop a software that enables interaction in virtual calls for a challenger with a speech impairment, discussed various methods to make train announcements accessible for people with hearing impairment, played around with tubes and bottles to produce a unique drinking system, and designed a stick to help opening the tram door for a challenger using an electric wheelchair.

Among the organizers and hackers, many familiar faces could be spotted – doctoral students, alumni, master and bachelor students from RELab contributed largely to the great success of the event!
