Postdoctoral Fellowship for Mathilde Lestoille. Congratulations!

Mathilde Lestoille has been awarded an ETH Zürich Postdoctoral Fellowship to conduct her project on upper limb home therapy at the RELab. The goal of the project is to provide a digital avatar therapist to stroke patients, to improve and personalize their home therapy.

This novel rehabilitation approach aims at remotely guiding the patient's motions during engaging exercises, as well as adapting the therapy plan according to the patient's specificity and progress. The project will also include the development of everyday life monitoring tools to follow and strengthen therapy outcomes. It will combine human motion capture and modeling, automatic assessments, as well as adaptation algorithms. This project will be conducted in close collaboration with the cereneo foundation, Center for Interdisciplinary Research, and the cereneo center for Neurology and Rehabilitation.
