Giada Devittori started her Ph.D. studies in Health Sciences and Technology in August 2019, at the Rehabilitation Engineering Laboratory (RELab, ETH Zurich). Her research focuses on developing and testing a strategy for minimally supervised therapy with a robot for hand rehabilitation.

Giada was born in 1994 in Aquila (Ticino) and she studied at the ETH Zurich, receiving her Bachelor of Science ETH in Health Sciences and Technology in 2017 and her Master of Science ETH in Health Sciences and Technology – Medical Technology in 2019.

During her Master studies, she collaborated in testing an arm weight compensation strategy developed for the ARMin V at the Sensory-Motor Systems Laboratory (ETH Zurich) and she worked at the Zürcher RehaZentrum Wald as a sport therapist. During her Master’s thesis at the RELab, she worked with the lower-limb exoskeleton VariLeg, recording and analyzing motion capture data of a paraplegic user walking with it.

Her research interests include neuroscience, robotic rehabilitation, assessment-driven therapy and telerehabilitation.
