Camila Shirota

Camila Shirota received the B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of São Paulo, Brazil and the Advanced Graduate Degree from the École Polytechnique, France in 2006. She received the M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of São Paulo, Brazil in 2008. In 2014, she received the Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University, Evanston, IL while working at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. During her Ph.D., she investigated able-bodied and above-knee amputee balance recovery from tripping perturbations during walking.

Her research interests include neuromuscular control of human gait and its applications to rehabilitation; biomedical signal processing and systems identification.
